Droll and gamma were added to try to make up for the lost heralds, they're cards that can beat fuwa and give you a chance going 2nd so its a similar role. On paper droplets would be good but every time I opened it the gamestate was custom for it not to work.
Sapphire was the funniest unexpected buff to hollowcore tear. Hollowcore can send sapphire to summon itself reducing the jank from getting GK fusion early or adding more chances to get an aqua in rotation for tear.
