Arriving at master rank for the first time was annoying to say the least. Almost 80% of players that I played against in the tier were playing some form of a floodgate, and going second, that can be a major death sentence. As a runick duelist I hate floodgates since its what makes players despise the runick archetype in the meta without even seeing for themselves what the archetype can do without them.
After the slight changes that I made to the deck after losing a lot, I found myself with consistent answers to a majority of threats in the meta almost all the time. Players can still draw jesus christ to out your board but if your opponent is going to bs you then you should never be afraid to bs right back. It's a lesson that I learned the hard way trying to reach master 1.
Knit picks and subjective opinions aside, I've had by far the most fun playing this deck this season than any of the other past formats combined. Runick and Radiant typhoon archetypes do such a great job at supporting one another to pull off some incredible upset victories! I hope other duelists try this deck and develop a love for runick in the meta.
