Notes & Combos
FINALLY MADE IT HERE in the middle of this crazy meta! My goal of hitting the highest rank with a water deck has finally been reached!
I originally started out using my M5 list, but along the way, I tweaked the staples to figure out what would give me a better win rate. I tried running Veiler, Ogre, Impulse, and even Lava Golem, but in the end, Droll, Maxx "C", Ash, Fuwalos, and Belle felt like the best fit. As for Super Poly, I only swapped it in at M2, and honestly, I rarely resolved it during the climb to M1, so that slot is definitely replaceable. I only brought it because I had a few matchups in M2 against Kewl Tune and Blue-Eyes where having Super Poly would've secured the win. Just a heads-up, Sekka's Light and Super Poly naturally clash with each other. The idea going second is to activate Super Poly as Chain Link 2 right after activating Sekka's Light.
Overall, the deck is pretty solid. It's hard to pilot, but that's exactly what catches opponents off guard xd. Going first, always use Minstrel whenever it's available. I usually go for a handrip combo and ending on a 1-2 interruption board. Going second, we just rely on handtraps, bait out every negate, and go for lethal (it's a bit hard to explain, so i recommend checking out my gameplay videos for the replays).
For main deck choices, people usually prefer running Dominus Impulse over Sekka's Light. Running a Barrier Statue is also a solid option. For the Extra Deck, you can swap out the Fusion monsters if you aren't running Super Poly. Great alternatives include Zealantis, Abyss Keeper, Dragite, Prima Donna (if you're running the Barrier Statue), Coral Dragon, Porpoise, Mistar Boy, etc. Just adjust it to fit your strategy ~
If you're looking for a guide, I have a basic Prince combo tutorial that you can check out on my channel (link here).
For a more comprehensive guide, I highly recommend checking out the one made by Darew (huge shoutout to him for providing such a detailed, free guide!). You can find it right here.

I'll be uploading my M1 climb video soon to my gameplay playlist below: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLeXL-IZM0PdCOSDEzfksEZPCoW8fW0adD&si=qREl68cW4-_CgMYu
To wrap things up, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone in the Zero_cadence Dueling Academia Discord, MDMeta Icejade & water deck Discord, Dave, and all my YouTube followers xd.
I honestly don't know if I'll be able to hit this rank again in the future since the meta is only going to get tougher, so I'm taking the chance to say my thanks now ~~
Also, Konami... Icejade support when??
