Many of you know I started using Twitter as a place to upload really long threads about deck deep dives, this one will be up tonight hopefully.

I set out this month to try and build a working Sacred Beast deck; this was the only solution I could come up with. I did attempt Spright, pure, stun, Sky Striker, and Yubel builds but this performed the best.

I have most of my thread typed up so here are some of the notes for gameplay:

Interactions / Win Condition ✅

  • Goal: cycle field spells (Fountain +3, Paradise +2, Geri for Fountain +3) for deep draw.
  • Uria is spell / trap removal.
  • Cerulean Skyfire is spell / trap negation AT RESOLUTION (Tear replay demonstrates negating Super Poly).
  • Paradise turns the SBs into Towers and is a +2 every turn.- Hyper Blaze is an OPT Monster Reborn.
  • Awakening is 1 sided Skill Drain + underrated “you cannot lose this turn” due to LP gain + Macro Cosmos (rare you get all 3 though).
  • Runick spells that we all know (Monster destruction, s/t destruction, monster negation, etc.).
  • Win Con: Deckout.

If your considering building this I'll say the learning curve is insane. It looks deceptively simple but reality is your looping field spells strategically and doing so helps you avoid things like Drillbeam on Fountain. The deck also baits hand traps really well but you need to know your sequencing and how to bait.

If you get Maxx "C"ed you go all in and deck them out.

Cool interactions:

  • Capshell is a 0/0 Fiend for all of the SB support.
  • Dark Summoning Beast summons from deck then searches, giving you discard fodder for Hugin / SPoly (later monster reborned by Blaze Canon).
  • You need Djinn to continue to remove Hugin from ED zone to fully cycle Fountain's potential +6.

Notably if you watch all the replays saved, there is likely a lot of variance on little things like removing Ipiria, SB ratios (2x Hamon -1 Raviel), and other micro changes. Over the month this deck was pretty plastic and I did a lotttt of changing ratios and techs. 😅
