Notes & Combos
Primite provides higher ceiling while adding more bricks into the deck. If I had 3 crimson tear, I would like to try pure version. But I only have one, so the Primite version is still better for me.
It took me several hours to reach M1, my personal thoughts about the deck:
Primite:
- With Crimson Tear (main deck lacrima), now if Lordly Lode got ashed, we can still make requiem to send paradise in opponents turn to ensure minimum interaction.
- Requiem's effect is lowkey not once per turn. Sometimes your opponent send lacrima to grave then you can revive requiem to use it again!
- But if Beryl is impermed, it's just over and kinda hard to extend. Cutting 1 or 2 Beryl might be the right direction.
- Roar is not once per turn, normally no one will ash it, but people misplay at times...
- If play multiple roar, you can chain 2nd roar to requiem to get one more body on the field.
- If only play 1 vanilla, chain it to Beryl's effect.
- Its GY effect can be triggered by nib token, which wins me a game when my opponent has imperm+nib.
- My biggest issue about this card is that it works poorly when there are bystials/nib on the field. This makes primite cards worse going 2nd.
- Drillbeam is the only reason why we wanna play primite cards. There are times when I read opponent has bystial or nib. I make early ceasar and don't want to use lordly lode's effect which will temporarily turn off ceasar. In such case, to enable drillbeam, we can magna to search a beryl to hand.
Bystials:
- Just good cards when everyone is on fiendsmith or is light/dark.
- Everytime I run 3 lubellions, the shuffler just gives me multiple lubellions... I hate it especially when going 2nd.
Fiendsmith:
- Crimson Tear is best NS in this deck, we can easily extend through a single handtrap. Definitely will play more if I have more.
- Paradise, one more brick. At this time we have 4 bricks in our deck, you will see at least one brick half of the time.
- Agnumday rarely comes up for me, but it's still a good OTK tool.
- Dipity is better than duston as it can make chaos angel and bagooska.
Non Engine:
- Definitely fewer non engine slot because primite cards. But still more than half of the card has interaction at opponent's turn.
- 2 droll is added at M2, where I see more mermails and millinium fiendsmith combo decks.
