Notes & Combos
Cracked deck (don't you dare call it FS Control this is just new Bystial Runick), HT's are for cowards, just go Battle Phase and summon Geri. Favorable ladder for Bystial Runick, mostly BE, Primite FS, then lots of Stun, Kash (stun), Millenium (stun), Hero (stun), and some Mermail (warcrime).
The deck just works, use FS to break boards, refill with Fountain, takeover the long game. I didn't take time to optimize combos or anything, for T1 one my goals was Fountain + Caesar + SP, with enough you can get Paradise in GY too. The Bystials are a little more disconected here than in the old Quem build so Regained is harder to get to but can still solo games.
BE Matchup is about keeping them off 2x Spirit and answering Drillbeam with FS card, then you're free to take over with Runicks. Banish the Drillbeam with SP or Chaos Angel, don't let them recur it.
FS mirror is about not losing exchanges and gradually pulling away with advantage, your Deck does something unfair (draw 3 every turn) so play to that gamestate. Again, don't expose Fountain to Drillbeam.
Notes on card choices
- 16 Runicks is necessary, if you aren't getting value off Fountain you're just playing bad Fiendsmith
- 3rd Lubellion was a sad cut but if you open a Bystial going 2nd you're like 75% against BE so I felt the need to make room
- Called By would've been better than Ash. I felt pressure to have stuff for going 2nd but Ash only impacts weak hands when its not paired so you may as well make it more resilient, Called By even has decent coverage going 2nd (Spirit, Desirae off Paradise)
- M7 is really weak here since I'm not on a lot of HT's and its usually better to hold them for opp's turn
- 2nd SP would've been very valuable but that's a comfort pick
