Notes & Combos
I switched back and forth between Link and Synchro build along the ladder. My final game was won by Synchro, so I just post it. My link build just remove Jet, and one Nibiru for full Chicken Game.
- Regarding Chicken Game
Since Snake-Eyes received a hit, we had at least 2 extra slots to spare from usual build. There're a few options, whether to fill in with handtraps, or any extenders. As the banlist hits consistency, I thought it'll make more sense to add cards that restores their consistency.
And here comes Chicken Game, as a simple draw engine. It was actually adapted in OCG Snake-Eyes build nowadays, after they get several nerfs like in banlist. After I tried, it actually brings more than an ordinary draw. It can act as fodder for Ash and Oak's SS deck effect, can be used as OSS cost, free cost for Diabellestarr, cost for Magicians' Souls (Link build) to convert draws......All thanks to its nature as a Field Spell.
Anyway it's a flexible spot, so play 0-3 also acceptable. I played 3 in my Link build. As in this example build I posted, I only played 1 to fit in extra Nibiru and TTT to cover go second matchup in Master 2. Just follow your needs.
Something about the comparison between Synchro and Link version of Snake-Eyes.
Synchro build:
- Pros
-
- Stronger endboard with omni-negates
-
- Easier to force handtraps
- Cons
-
- Harder to follow up after getting disrupted
-
- Lesser options for finisher (Only Zealantis)
Link build:
- Pros
-
- Easier to follow up after getting disrupted, with multiple extenders like Souls or Birch.
-
- More options for finisher (Accesscode and Zealantis)
- Cons
-
- Weaker endboard that susceptible by Spell/Traps
-
- Harder to force handtraps
