Notes & Combos

The only change I made this season is Lightning Storm instead of Regulus. The reason for this change is that we're not able to grind much in the current meta so adding another flexible boardbreaker felt a bit better.

Unfortunately, Cydra currently is basically collateral damage. Everyone is either playing Snake-Eye or playing handtraps/floodgates to beat them. It just happens that these handtraps and floodgates indirectly counter Cydra. Also, because we don't have the luxury of going first, we have to deal with floodgates already on the field like Dimensional Fissure, Macro Cosmos,...etc.

As for Snake-Eye, their cards and the board they make can be dealt with but when you add the ridiculous amount of handtraps they play then it becomes a problem. With that said, I had a 13 win streak from Master 5 to Master 3 so yeah even in this meta Cydra can still do things.

I was testing out some cards this season and different ratios for the deck. I didn't really like going over 40 as compromising the consistency even by a little bit did not feel good. Adding more handtraps means that you will see more of them in your hand but you will also brick on them more often as we don't have a one card combo like other decks.

I think all the cards in the the main deck are very much needed except Regulus. I tried replacing him with Crossout, Talent, and Nibiru but I didn't particularly like any of them. Another option you can try is adding a 2nd Nachster, but I didn't test it out because I'm not a big fan of drawing him.

For the extra deck, you might argue about the 2nd Megafleet but there isn't really a good card to replace it with and it does come up sometimes which can be game deciding. So I would still recommend playing the 2nd one but if I were to replace it then I would play a 2nd Infinity.
