🦋Introduction:

꒰(˶• ᴗ •˶)꒱Hiya, fellow duelists! After the WCS Qualifiers ended, I continued my pursuit for Ranked and reached Master I with Sky Striker (again)! It's virtually the same list as the one I used for Master V, but with the most minor of preference tweaks.

🦋Overview/Matchups:

(✨NEW!) Shark Cannon: Branded is an ISSUE! Going second, breaking their board makes them benefit heavily due to the constant effects in the GY which occur in the End Phase (aptly titled "Main Phase Three"). As such, if you cannot get enough resources of your own for their next plays, the Duel is sealed. Looping Shark Cannon can help even the odds, but is not powerful enough on its own; Monsters such as Incredible Eccleisa and Blazing Cartesia recur themselves even if you banish their Fusion Monster (s). Still, a worthwhile choice.

(✨NEW) Dragon that Devours the Dogma: This Fusion serves as another target for F&V! Typically sent in the opponent's turn, this card will search another copy of F&V, making all copies usable more reliably. Additionally, if you manage to use Shark Cannon(+)'s effect to revive Fallen of Albaz, this Fusion is typically the target you want to summon. It may also become a potential tower if Ecclesia is in either GY.

(✨Personal Matchups): So, I actually first tried out Ryan Yu's deck list (had Desires and Upstart over the RT engine), and, while very strong, simply was not my preferred playstyle. I think the extra gas and backrow removal was favored for MY matchups, so I continued with this build and saw more success.

  • Branded: The games were very grindy, but I'd say to generally loop your two Lemnisgates and Shark Cannon to stifle their resources and just survive. If they summon Dogma, try to use a boosted Kagari to swing over it.
  • Kewl Tune: Striker has a very favorable matchup, but Kewl Tune's non-engine makes it more perilous.
  • Radiant Typhoon: It can go either way, depending on what each party draws. Also, another grindy matchup. Dodge Mandate and try to limit their resource recursion!
  • Enneacraft: Barely encountered any, so I cannot give much advice. It's part of why I switched out Exciton/Combined Maneuver.
🦋Conclusion:

꒰(˶• ᴗ •˶)꒱: After switching to my traditional build, the climb was extremely smooth! Went from M4 to M1 with multiple 4 and 5-win streaks. Subscribe to Floowooly and the Dungeon! Psst...I hear she's having a special tournament on June 28th, 2026 on 3:00 PM EDT called the Gremlin Cup!👀
