Notes & Combos
As is known, Zoodiac Broadbull can search any Beast-Warrior, and since Sengenjin is a Beast-Warrior, I wanted to take advantage of that synergy with Millennium Exodia.
Tried creating a circular engine where the engines could bridge between each other. Unfortunately, the Extra Deck is simply too tight.
This deck is mostly about maximizing hand quality while maintaining consistency. The biggest improvement comes from Zoodiac Ratpier and Barrage effectively acting as additional copies of Sengenjin, giving six more ways to access the best starter while also providing meaningful interaction. Instead of relying on weaker Millennium starters, the Zoodiac engine improves both the deck's consistency and its ceiling.
To fully optimize the deck, I would recommend playing 3 Zoodiac Barrage. This list doesn't include them simply because I haven't crafted them yet, but they effectively give you additional copies of Ratpier. The only downside is the 3 UR investment.
A single Normal Summon of Zoodiac Ratpier gives you a full five-interruption end board without requiring any additional cards:
- Exodia Spell Negat
- Exxod, Fires of Rage board wipe
- Desirae monster negate
- Azurune summon negate
- Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand monster negate
Likewise, a single Zoodiac Barrage reaches the same end board while also adding:
- Heart of Gaia, giving six interruptions.
The deck is resilient to most handtraps except Maxx "C" and Fuwalos. then you can simply pivot back into the traditional Exodia line instead of committing to the full combo.
Ratios: 55 cards 18 millennium + 6 F.S (24starters/24htrap)
- Exodia Starter 87.47%
- 2 Exodia Starters 53.30%
- Any 1 starter 95.12%
- Any 2 starter 73.41%
- 1 HT 94.21%
- 2 HT 70.44%
- 1 Brick (total 7 brick) 50.78%
- 2 Bricks (total 7 brick) 11.62%
The deck is still rogue, but the difference in hand quality is noticeable. You see more playable hands, fewer awkward hands, and much better starter ratios. This is still an early concept, and I'm continuing to experiment with the ratios, but it has been the most promising direction I've tested so far. Hopefully, it encourages more people to experiment with the archetype as well.
I don't think this completely solves all Millennium's problems, but I do think it is a better version of the deck. It gives more consistency, a stronger end board, and another way to convert its resources into meaningful pressure while still keeping some of the archetype's original identity.
