Notes & Combos

Finally. Late month Argoslop.

The philosophy behind this list is to find a way to put 2 Level 4s on the field as soon as possible, allowing you to bridge between different engines based on your hand. Because there are many ways to pivot between different engines in the deck, a lot of the combos are meant to be flexible and nonlinear.

Full Endboard

The following board can usually be achieved with Drones or Eldam/Swen alone. Habakiri and Adra by themselves could also achieve a similar board.

Field Spell Zone

• Argostars Home Stadium — On-field negate once per chain

Monster Zone

• Silhouhatte Rabbit — Destroy a spell/trap
• Mitama no Mitsurugi — SS Mitsurugis from GY (usually Murakumo)
• D/D/D Wave High King Caesar — Negate 2 special summons
• I:P Masquerena — Link into S:P for a banish

Spell/Trap Zone

• Slayer Eteo — Non-targeting bounce + trigger for field spell
• Apophis — Non-targeting on-field negate
• Great Purification — Omni-negate
• Tydeu — Follow-up + trigger for field spell

Additional Yapping

I've experimented with adding other engines such as the whole Zoodiac stuff, now that they're basically unlimited now. The Zoodiac package is good at getting you to Broadbull as early as possible (and maybe get a bunch more bodies on field), but you have a whopping zero extra deck space. Lmao.

I also don't use Parthe. I just don't know what she does. Like, I assume you use her as an extender to loop Tydeu's effect? I'm not sure.

Again, like my list from last year, we're also playing a single Engraver. Don't think about this one too hard, I still just don't have the UR to craft another one, and I kind of just... gotten used to playing a single copy.

I used to play Pre-preperations of Rites, but there were three separate ocassasions where I drew both that card and Mirror, two of which were BACK TO BACK -- where I proceeded to crash out, and delete the card from my list. Still a great option, obviously, but those moments are seared into my mind.

I will point out that there is actual synergy between Mitsurugi and Argostar beyond Rank 4 bridging, and that is that Apophis is a Level 6 Reptile, so you COULD use that as tribute fodder for Purification. That has come up more than once, surprisingly enough.
