Notes & Combos
Played a couple decks, mostly mimighoul and blue eyes, during my climb. Mimighoul did surprisingly well and I ended up having a 14-5 record at the end which I was pretty proud of.
That being said...this deck has some issues. The main problem I found was going second without powerful hand traps. I struggled to break boards, and not even always full power boards. One hand I had died to a single well-timed drillbeam. I was, and still am, considering super poly to help with going second but the ED is too tight so I never tried it. The other issue is Impulse. ****. Impulse. Two of my losses were to mermail using impulse from hand. There are technically things you can do when your opponent is under impulse: use throne's bounce effect then shuffle it back with the trap's gy effect so you play ****** seals control, or play ****** FS control. Either way it sucks and I just scooped.
But even with those issues the deck was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it! It was much more fun to play than my blue eyes or ryu VV pile decks, and could set up some very mean turn 1 boards lmao. Full disclaimer though: I am not an expert with this deck. This was my first time ever touching mimighoul cards since I don't play paper, and I definitely made some misplays and could probably build the deck a little better.
