Why?

Tearlaments is my favourite archetype and while I wanted to play it with branded, I wanted to keep tear as the main engine and have the mill quality that 40 card tear lists have. I quickly learned that branded could get so much more value from adding a few more combo pieces so the list ended up going to 48 cards. I also believe that branded fusion going to 2 was a huge buff to a deck like this.

How?

A lot of matches it feels like the right gameplan is to pretend to be playing just tear and bait opponents into ashing and imperming your tear cards before pivoting into branded and hopefully resolving brafu. Mill RNG can make or break the deck so doing the traditional kit into tear kash mill 10 play tends to be incredibly rewarding here, imagine playing branded and always having access to grass despite not even having it in the deck.

Should I play it?

Only if you love tear and want to have branded as a side dish, traditional branded tear lists have 60 cards, almost no tear in main deck and will probably perform better.

Could probably run more Aluber, Shrouded, Albaz, Saronir and Lubellion since they're all amazing cards for Branded, but I did my best to keep the deck size short.

Since the list is low on copies of dragons/spellcasters, I believe the cold hard truth is that branded in high spirits is not a good card on this deck.

Fusion Deployment is extra copies of Reino while having the flexibility of being able to summon Cart/Albaz without spending normal summon, 3 copies for sure.

Branded Opening discards for effect which makes this an insane card for this deck and potentially another one that could see extra copies. If it gets negated you soaked a handtrap, if it isn't you're immediately going plus by triggering tear effects in GY.

Branded King is surprisingly nice because sometimes your board is going to be layered with a big backrow and effects that trigger when cards are sent to GY.

While I still have a lot of doubts regarding the main deck, I'm very satisfied with extra deck and believe the only flexible spot is LADD. Example cards that could go in this slot are Alba-Lena, Sanctifire, Khaos, Redoer, Rextremende (spoly target) or if you're mad enough, Alba System.

Rulkallos is amazing protection against Nibiru that Branded regularly does not have. Do not get baited at the end of your MP by irrelevant effects.
