Notes & Combos

Spright gaming.

The best endboard to end on afaik is, Elf, Sprind+IP in the Elf zones, Catty, Forest and Carrot in the other zones (you can choose Red instead of Carrot, I just like Carrot more for the sake of not getting Evenly'd)

This board is: a negate for a tribute (Red/Carrot), a bounce for a detach on any special summon, including your own summons (Sprind), an impermlike effect a bit after your opponent summoned once (Forest), a semi-omni a bit afterwards (Catty into Pinny into Herald) (you can also go fot Merry Melffys for a quick effect bounce if you find room for that), and then on top of all that, the OP combo that is IP+Elf + all your non-engine. This creates such a variety of interactions that if you play well and know the decks in the format, you can stop ANYTHING.

You can access this kinda board easily via for example:

  • Any normal summonable Level 2 + either Blue or Jet
  • Swap + any Spright, including the negate ones
  • Swap + Angler or Swap + Ronin
  • Probably a buncha other combinations, the deck gets to this board really easily

Just dont Sprind first. Sprind first is only a good move if you've been interrupted a buncha times and/or you bricked REALLY bad (or you wanna go for a Gamma Burst OTK and arent afraid of negates anymore, and need an easy 3k Gigantic).

The hardest problems for this deck usually are:

  • Going second, if you dont draw enough non-engine/the wrong half of the non-engine, it can be, depending on the skill if your opponent, really hard to break through a board.
  • Not drawing enough of your Engine (theres in theory a line to unbrick yourself with almiraj if your hand is one swap frog only, but that specific brick comes up so rarely, I just couldnt find it in me to use up extra deck space for that)
  • ... getting Maxx'Cd and not being able to interrupt it. This deck needs a few summons to get interruption going compared to, for example, Tearlaments. God, Konami, ban this stupid card already.

I hope they never ban Elf, this deck continues to be fun as ****.
