Notes & Combos

Pure Fairy Tail, pre-Genia/maid Verre/other support.

There's a lot of stuff in the meta at the moment that really doesn't like it when Fairy Tail changes their birth certificate (Albaz, KT girls) or that are threatened by Luna bounce (one-of Fortunas, Hornet Drones, Rotary/Zalen). Worst matchup at the moment is probably DTail, as you can't really interact with them always hiding in hand/chainblocked GY/backrow, and they can jumpscare you from behind 3 Branded cards or with Secreterion.

Deck can extend through a solid amount of 1-for-1 handtraps between Ball, Match, and cup ramen->Weaver, and is generally resistant to all the Branded/KT-targeted GY hate floating around as well thanks to the quickplay. Lingering handtraps also do little since you're already playing low to the ground without all the Magistus extras slopped in. Ball/Luna->Match->Wiccat send Snow+Quickplay (or just making Teller raw depending on hand) is 3-4+ interruptions for one draw under Fuwa, plus your 20ish nonengine in the rest of your hand. Things will only get better once the deck gets the rest of the 4* spellcaster moeblobs to extend with instead of relying on Rochka, as well as other toys like Crown or Spark.

Nonengine is very flexible depending on what you're worried about, beyond Match/Snow/the equip having great synergy as SPoly and Droplet discards. Veiler is flaky with F&V everywhere, but can be used as fusion mats in a pinch. Charmies can be a starter with Metamorphosis, but can also be very unfortunate if the opp gives you one with Rochka/Cue. You can make a case for running Fissures in this meta, as even going second it can potentially absorb a MST/F&V for your field spell or NS.

ED Spoly choices are also pretty flexible. Chorizo came up a few times but only when Harmonia+Packbit shoved a body into backrow, and Secreterion is unreliable and easily outed by Branded and DT, unless you also have Teller omni backing him up. The standard Starving Venom/Predaplant options may have more mileage. Be mindful that Fairy Tail spellcasters are vulnerable to Branded/DT using Dogma and Secreterion SPoly tech themselves, especially W/Albaz baiting a negate with SPoly in hand behind him.
