M1 Millennium / Zoodiac- Season 55

Millennium Zoodiac is a more consistent variant that uses the full Zoodiac package to improve both the deck's ceiling and the quality of its opening hands while remaining focused on the core Millennium game plan.

Unlike my other builds, the Zoodiac package serves as the primary starter and extender, consistently leading to the deck's strongest endboard. A single Zoodiac Ratpier, Zoodiac Barrage, or Zoodiac Ramram gives access to the Millennium engine while reducing the number of hands that fail to reach a core plays.

Saryuja ties the strategy together by providing an additional Normal Summon for Heart of Gaia, while also letting you shuffle back bricks and dig for more htraps to further strengthen your endboard.

With an ideal opening hand, the deck can establish up to 6 interruptions:

  1. Exodia Spell Negate
  2. Exxod, Fires of Rage board wipe
  3. Heart of Gaia monster negate
  4. Azurune summon negate
  5. Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand monster negate
  6. Heart of the Blue-Eyes (send lvl 8-higher monster to GY)

The Zoodiac engine is very resilient to hand traps by forcing interaction at multiple points in the combo rather than relying on Millennium starters.

With the release of Fydraulis Harmonia, sequencing is important. In many situations with Ratpier, you'll want to make Broadbull before using the Rat effects so you can secure your search before your opponent has the opportunity to interrupt.

Another small benefit of the engine is access to Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS for boardbreaking. It isn't the deck's primary game plan, but it occasionally provides an additional way to recover from difficult positions.

The biggest drawback is that there is currently no bridge from Millennium into Zoodiac. The package only bridges from Zoodiac into Millennium, so you need to naturally open your Zoodiac cards to access those lines. For that reason, I recommend playing 3 Rats, 3 Rams, 3 Barrage and 1-2 Tenki to maximize your chances of opening the engine.

Since the deck is primarily focused on summoning and winning with Exodia Incarnate, I recommend playing two traps to help keep your opponent's field clear for the Turn 3 OTK.

Millennium Zoodiac is still a rogue strategy, but compared to pure Millennium it offers a more consistent and flexible approach. It remains focused on summoning The Unstoppable Exodia Incarnate, while occasionally being able to pivot into Utopic F0, Drident and S:P in the right situations.

Ratpier Guide is still pending, but it follows the same concept as the standard R.T./Zoo except you search Sengenjin instead of Eldam.
