Notes & Combos

Shoutout to Metakuzu for the list. I tested a few different versions—Unicorn, Super Poly, and Millennium variants—but this ended up being the build I felt most comfortable with. I think Tearlaments are in a great spot this meta.

Outside of Maxx "C", the only hand traps that really gave me trouble were Impulse, Nibiru and the occasional Bystials, but you can usually play around those with Baronne or Apollousa depending on your setup.

Vs. Maliss going second: My goal was to resolve Maxx "C" or Fuwa. I'd often try to bait Called by the Grave using a well-timed Ash or Havnis, forcing them to respond and letting Maxx "C" or Fuwa resolve. That said, I'd love to hear strategies for beating Maliss without relying on Maxx "C" or Fuwa.

Other notes Maliss was around 70% of my games. The other decks were blue eyes/tear/ etc.

Shaddoll Winda is an easy win going first if you layer it with additional disruption.

Going second, Agnumday + Desirae is very strong.

Dugares has been amazing—definitely worth it.
