Notes & Combos

After getting tired of normal maliss and bouncing around in the Master ladder, I decided to try Cyberse Pile Maliss!

The goal here is to use the maliss and cyberse cards to focus all on getting out Terahertz. Terahertz is an absolutely insane card and Maliss cards are especially good at getting it out on board. Going first you hope you have enough monsters to end on Tera + way to revive Maliss monsters ideally including Crypter/way to search MTP-07 for 2 extra banishes plus tons of bodies. It's shockingly consistent at doing this and if they use up 2-3 handtraps good chance Tera on his own can carry you to vistory. Bonus points if you were able to set up Gatchiri with it, but that was very rare.

The biggest issues with this deck are of course Maxx C/Fuwoloss, hence why droll is at 3. Many times I had to try to OTK through Maxx C and while it worked sometimes, its not a great answer. Also run relatively low handtraps as your engine uses bodies so well.

The Non-Maliss Cyberse monsters I ran were:

  • Mathmech Circular Package - Cause circular is 3 bodies without a normal summon. I did not run Alembertian as I did not want to add Diameter and use my normal, plus extra deck slots are tight
  • Addition/Subtraction - Just solid extenders, would be replaced with future ignister support for sure
  • Code Talker package - I wanted to see Cynet Mining as much as possible
  • Dotscaper - cause it can summon itself in so many ways: Tera, Generator, Gold Sarc, Cynet/Droplet Discard, and Red Ransom
  • Parallel - 2 bodies for the price of 1, that's the name of the deck
  • Gatchiri - Honestly barely used it, it was more for high roll without being dead if I drew it
  • Code Talker - For easy link 2's with link from hand monsters
  • Protectcode talker - another way to banish your Maliss links and get extra bodies on field

I also did not run normal cards like SP/Lizzardose because I usually wanted to use Transcode which would have been locked out if i wanted to revive a link monster. Almiraj also came in clutch a few times normal summoning a handtrap to get going.

Is this better than pure Maliss? Almost certainly not, but I found it much more fun as this deck is better at going second and still has a pretty strong enboard going first. Just look out for those cockroaches.
