Notes & Combos
Maliss: I made it to Master 5 using Maliss, but I climbed to Master 1 with Blue-Eyes. Maliss is the stronger deck, just I lost too many duels due to Lancea to the point that I started doubting myself whether or not I am even good at Yu-Gi-Oh. It was a day and night difference when I switch from Maiss to Blue-Eyes as I was actually able to play the game, lol. Surprisingly Blue-Eyes can hold its own against Maliss.
-Ghost Belle/Artifact Lancea: I started to climb with Lancea in my deck, but I ended up replacing x2 Lancea for x2 Ghost Belle along the way after bricking on Lancea a little too many times against non-maliss decks for my taste. Ghost Belle ended up being more useful as it can be used for duels against Non-Maliss decks on top Maliss as well.
-Ghost Ogre: Well timed Ogres won me duels against Maliss and kept other decks with their continuous spells/traps on their toes as well.
-Primite Drillbeam/Roar: Initially started with x3 Drillbeam and x1 Roar, but split it evenly x2 between the two towards the end. Roar's banishment effect came up a lot during my climb and won me several duels right on the spot.
-Dragon Spirt of White (DSOW)/Dark Hole Dragon(DHD): Either you are bricking on them or they are your life savers.
-Dominus Purge: I didn't realize how much this card can impact Maliss. Just like Ogre, a well timed Purge can stop Maliss in it's tracks.
-Extra Deck: Moonlight Dragon earned it's slot during this season, so it is a keeper. "Azure" & "Typhon" rarely came up to the point that these can be seen as your flex spots. Everything else I wouldn't change at all.
Replays
Gameplay footage was uploaded to YouTube. Also, I tested a few different cards along the way, so you might see some cards not listed being used, but the deck fundamentally remained the same.
