Notes & Combos

I feel like this game knows I'm a cat.... I opened only 50 packs and somehow got 5x Snatchy (including 2x glossy) then pulled 1x glossy Marshmao and accidentally crafted the other.... With that kind of pull luck combined with already having played Mitsurugi, the UR crafts for this deck only took 120 dust.

So I took it for a spin and... yeah, I think this is too strong. Sprelf may be getting itself banned and I wouldn't be surprised if I saw Link Spider leave us too.

In situations where you don't have a revive for a Way, Prayers may still be better than Purification. Your opponent basically can't enter battle while Prayers is set, because if they did and you flip it, they either use an effect to respond to it which triggers your Way, or you resummon Murakumo and their attackers get wiped. (... Is Way supposed to mean something else in Japanese?)

This deck can combo insanely hard from the most un-combo-able looking boards. Much like Orcust and Fiendsmith before it, 2 Effect Monsters bridges into full combo (new to this case, only so long as there are 3 spells or less in your GY and you can empty your main monster zones, so watch out for those conditions). Tactics stealing your opponent's monster and linking it into a Camellia can be a super effective jumpscare.

For ☄️, all of the following act as deterrent and/or recovery, even if they don't look like it (the latter 4 and Maliss doing similar shenaningans are why I want Link Spider banned lol):

  • Arc Light on board
  • Murakumo that hasn't been tributed yet
  • Drones token (it can't be tributed)
  • Mignon that hasn't resummoned yet
  • Any of Cupsy, Cooky, or Lollipo in hand that haven't been specialed yet
  • Surprise in hand (that hasn't specialed yet)
