Notes & Combos

Most other gem knight fiendsmith decklists are pretty similar, but I just want to share my thoughts on some distinctions between them.

In the main deck, I liked having the one copy of imperm for the crossout as it also wasn't bad to have going second. Your really don't need a nibiru as the deck shuts it down super easily and I don't really enjoy having it in my hand this format. The vingolf's blessing I was testing as it can make a good dump card while still getting you a one-card combo off of sending Nepyrim. At first, I was back and forth between it and foolish burial as burial can send mudora which can be game winning against a bad yummy board, but in the end I thought there was no real reason not to run both. The only card in the main deck I feel uncertain about is paragon. You really gotta time it right for it to be decisive and there's a lot of room for error, though I kept it in because when it hits, it hits.

As for the extra deck, the only real thing I would think about swapping was desirae vs caesar. They both have their own times that they're good, I think it's really just dealer's choice. Desirae if you want a more versatile negate, Caesar if you want more negates that are more specific.

All in all, this was a fun deck to play and enjoyed the climb. Maybe one day I won't need to run two copies of droll not for the other person's deck but so that I can stop a maxx c from being an instant game loss.
