Notes & Combos

Transcendent Dragion + S. Summoning + Chundra

This is the best board you could create to OTK the opponent safely. S. Summoning protects our Fire Dragons during the MP1 and Transcendent Dragion prevents the opponent from activating cards/effects during the BP. We can also search and summon chundra with Sangen Kaimen during BP.

Tips
  • Sangenpai Transcendent Dragion: This card prevents your opponent from activating cards or effects during the Battle Phase so you should NEVER remove it from the field unless absolutely necessary.

  • Dora Dora: The best one card combo in the deck. the combo ends on chundra+Transcendent Dragion and S. Summoning.

  • Fadra: I recommend activating Fadra's effect at the start of the Damage Step to play around Ghost Ogre.

  • Bystial Magnamhut: You can search and summon Genroku as a level 4 tuner, so instead of activating Genroku's effect and summoning another Tenpai, you could summon Baronne de Fleur using Genroku and Magnamhut as materials.

  • Mulcharmy Purulia: Always activate this card during your opponent's Draw Phase without hesitation. If you have multiple copies of this card, activate only one copy and wait to see what deck you're playing against. If it's K9, save the other copy for your turn; if not, it depends on the matchup and the rest of your hand.

  • Mulcharmy Fuwalos: Personally, I prefer to wait and see what deck I'm playing against, but if I'm playing against Vanquish Soul K9, I always activate this card right before Vanquish Soul Jiaolong and Vanquish Soul Hollie Sue are summoned. Because it's too late afterward.

    • For example: let's say that during the opponent's turn, they summon Vanquish Soul Hollie Sue and activate its effect to Special Summon a V.S. Monster from the deck, revealing Ash Blossom and a Dark Monster for the cost. If we activate Mulcharmy Fuwalos in response, the opponent will simply negate Fuwalos's effect with Ash Blossom. But if we had activated Mulcharmy Fuwalos right before Vanquish Soul Hollie Sue is summoned, and the only Fire Monster in the opponent's hand is Ash Blossom, the opponent will have to choose between negating Mulcharmy Fuwalos's effect, but they will no longer have any Fire Monsters in their hand to Special Summon a V.S. Monster monster from the deck or let Mulcharmy Fuwalos resolve and continue with their plays.
  • Sales Ban: There are basically three ways to use this card:

    • You can use this card to prevent the activation of a card that could cause you to lose. For example, Ash Blossom, Imperm, or Veiler.
    • You can use it to force the activation of an opponent's card. For example, if you name Dracotail Faimena, the opponent must activate it in response or they will not be able to activate it afterwards.
    • You can use this card to prevent the activation of the opponent's boss monster effects.
  • Yazi, Evil of the Yang Zing: We'll use this card to remove Secreterion Dragon from the field if you're playing against Dracotail. You could also consider playing Shiranui Squiresaga, but Yazi's advantage is that it's untargetable, making it immune to Effect Veiler. Of course, to summon this monster and win, you'll need two starters.

  • How to play around cards that negate the summon of Synchro Monsters: For example Sauravis and Solemn Counter Trap can negate the summoning of a monster, and since the monster we want to summon is not yet on the field, Sangen Summoning can't protect it, However during the Battle Phase when you activate the effect of a tenpai monster to Synchro Summon you have to chain the effect of another tenpai monster to Synchro Summon as chain link 2, the chain resolves, during the chain link 2 we summon Bident, chain link 1 resolves without effect, and Sauravis and Solemn Judgment cannot activate their effects.
