Notes & Combos

K9 is here and with it comes piles of madness to brew up! This is K9 Solfachord Yummy, largely inspired by Jesse Kotton's build from the TCG a few weeks back. I played this list from M5 to M2, but got hardstuck in the rank-up vortex, so I switched to VSK9 for the last few games (some banger replays here as well). Overall, I was very surprised with how this deck performed, and if you're looking for a fun free-flow combo pile, I'd recommend giving this a shot!

K9 SOLFAYUM — Triple-Axel Synergy:

The idea of this deck is to leverage the multi-levelled Solfachord monsters to bridge into K9 and Yummy combo. The bridges are multi-directional: Extra Deck tools in River Stormer, Saryuja, and Beyond the Pendulum allow you to access your entire deck to grab the engine pieces you're missing, which means every hand plays entirely differently. Of course, the most powerful hands are often mixed with each archetype, so pay close attention to your search cards to more optimally sculpt your gameplan.

As for engine ratios, I'm maxing out on every high-quality name from each archetype. While Cutia is normally a 1-of in Solfa Yummy, it combos super well with both Noroi and/or any Yummy name in this build. Solfegia can be cut down to 1 copy as a rather awkward draw, but the 2nd copy allows for niche extension plays if your only other Solfachord starter gets stopped. In order to maximize the chances of seeing Jokul, we're also on two copies of Chaotic Elements. The funny Turbo Booster card is played to bridge from K9 to Yummy, as Infinitrack can search it for a free special summon, provided you started with any level-1 Solfachord.

An example 2-card combo line with Jokul + Gracia flows like this:

• Activate Jokul to SS itself + Gracia, then activate Gracia to add Solfachord Happiness
• Jokul adds Lantern and overlay both into Ripper for Noroi (hand-trap insulation before committing to Solfa)
• Happiness to add Primoa + Solfegia, then SS Primoa to add Elegance
• Lantern to SS itself + Noroi, add Case for Izuna, link Primoa + Noroi into Beyond to add Cutia
• Elegance to scale 2nd Primoa from deck + scale Solfegia from hand, then pend summon Cutia + Primoa
• Link Beyond + Cutia into Coolia, then trigger Primoa to add back Happiness from GY
• Link Primoa into Linkuriboh, then Happiness again for 2nd pend summon
• (Dealer's choice) Either link 4 bodies into Saryuja to dig for Yummy OR make Cupsy Way directly
