Notes & Combos

This is my first attempt to build a Lunalight deck after the support came out. The main thing to note is the lack of 3 copies for each card since I would often get 2 bricky copies (for this deck's standard at least) in my starter hand or 3 in rare cases.

In addition to that, the singular copies for each handtrap, cause in my experience most meta decks won't be possibly stopped with a single ash, let alone with 3 copies. Also the going second board breakers are kinda useful (sometimes it's just sheer luck) though i can say Ultimate Slayer is the best one on this season.

Another card that worked for me probably over 80% of the time was Reasoning, whether I was allowed to summon a monster through that card or summon one that ended up in the gy through Perfume.

Another thing is that even tho i only got 1 ash and Called by the grave, i stil was able to pull the necessary cards in my starter hand to be able to summon Liger Dancer as fast as possible without having to boost my opponent's hand that much ( like 30% of the time), 30% was probably decks that don't have anything in their deck to get around Liger Dancer, 30% were inta-lose situations for me and 10% having droll, retaliating C, etc.

In regard to the extra deck, it's obviously all the board breaker targets for Ultimate Slayer except for the link monster (it can still be used sending Little Knight tho). This is because most decks use a combination of link + XYZ or Synchros so I decided to take advantage of that and add Tornado Dragon that was quiet useful throughout the final climb from Master 3 to 1.

And... I got tons of insane replays going second with this build even tho i had a good amount of losses due to fail plays on my part (As i said before it could've been sheer luck, or they just didn't know what to disrupt or to a lesser extent they were running out of time).
