Notes & Combos

This deck is a lot of fun! I love searching Kurikara, she is one of my favorite cards ~

Since I only play Master Duel this was my first time using this deck and these are my observations throughout the climb:

Subversion: Such a good card. I personally don't want to miss it. So good in either turn 2 or turn 3. Forces the opponent to use one of their negates, if it was a monster then it makes Kurikara / Talents live. It can also push back Mirrorjade in the backrow, so your opponent cannot make a 2nd one.

Poplar: 3 Poplar might be an option. I have opened both of them in hand before, when I would have prefered to have 1 in the deck. I went for the cheapo version and used Birch instead.

No Droll & Nibiru: If all you run into is SHS, then this might be a good option. I personally think it's not that great of a card. I gave it a try but if I had it, I also always had the roach. And I rather have Maxx C resolve than Droll. You can argue that Droll cancels your opponent's Maxx C. Removed the 2 Droll for 2 Nibiru and Nibiru felt more impactful.

Veiler & Ghost Belle: Veiler is level 1 and an additional interruption if you go 2nd. I only have one copy of the card. Ghost Belle is decent, could be replaced (but I have a royal :3)

Elf: Came up a few times, but requires a good hand.

Knightmare Phoenix: I added this quite late to the ED, but I wanted to have some additional backrow removal, since the MD doesn't really have any.

I don't have Zelantis, but might craft it and give it a try because it looks fun to use. Would probably kick out Access Code for it.

Match Ups:

In Diamond I got Shifter'd quite a lot, the climb was painful, didn't happen in Master luckily. Against Kashtira it's easy to out Ariseheart with either Kurikara, Subversion, Imperm. Dimensional Fissure was more of a problem than Arise when they had it :)"

Against Branded putting Mirrorjade into the backrow as mentioned above is very effective. Since it is still considered as them having it, so they cannot make another one (and it doesn't wipe your board).

SHS is tricky if you go 2nd, but since all they have is monster cards, Kurikara puts in a lot of work.

Labrynth should be an easy matchup, unless they went first with a godly hand and you went 2nd with a bad hand. Be careful of Daruma Cannon.

The Mirror is really fun. I felt that if one person had the field spell but the other didn't, then they were at an advantage.
