Snake-Eyes has been a very good deck for me during climbing due to its sheer versatility and ability to recur resources even if your board gets broken. Definitely one of the best decks in the game right now and will reward you if you take the time to master it.

What with Herald of the Arc Light?

During testing with Formula Synchron, I found out that the card doesn't have a OPT clause, so it can actually synchro twice on the opponent's turn thanks to Spright Elf reviving it without needing an opponent's monster to be on the field.

Since Flamberge can revive up to 3 Snake-Eyes thanks to Oak's effect, that is enough material to summon Herald of the Arc Light after I:P links off for a Unicorn or S:P Little Knight, allowing us to have a second omni-negate for the opponent to chew through.

Of course, this is not necessary and there are time where I would've wanted space for a Zeus package for a board clear, but the deck already is capable of breaking boards on its own without it so I wanted to make the first turn board as oppressive as possible.

Why did I play Subversion?

Subversion being searchable non-destruction removal actually saved me against stun since Decisive Battle of Golgonda cannot protect their monster if they weren't destroyed in the first place. Besides stun, it's a helpful boardbreaker tool alongside Kurikara and Triple Tactics Talents.

Ratios between engine / non-engine

For this deck, I often juggled between the amount of engine and non-engine, which is why the deck changed so much over the past few days.

I personally think running 3x Ash, 2x Oak, and 2x Poplar might be the most optimal for the amount of starters and recursion offered, but I didn't miss the second Oak or the Birch in any of the games I played so I'm okay in keeping the 3x Ash, 1x Oak, and 2x Poplar ratio for now.

Replaced the D.D. Crow with Veiler as one of the final changes as not only it is a more generic handtrap against such a diverse meta (though Crow is not bad in the slightest) but it is also a tuner I can Normal Summon for Formula Synchron if I cannot access Jet Synchron.
