Notes & Combos

I cannot believe I actually made Master 1 with this deck. It owes heavily to the fact that a sizable amount of opponents scooped once they saw Unicorn and they don't have an out or they do and I also negate it. Ariseheart PTSD is real.

If you have seen my M5 decklist, there are further major differences from Jay in 4k's decklist: Pot of E to 0 (lost games when I banished Ntss, and I really want hand traps to stop my opponent more than a possible plus 1 next turn), Droll to 1, Big Welcome to 2, Lady Lab to 1 (the Lab part has become complementary instead of the focus of the strategy, handtraps is the way to go this season coz it is far easier to stop Snake Eyes and Branded than breaking their boards), Crow to 3, Ash to 3, Imperm to 3, added Kurikara (a late one, exchanged 1 Droll for it going to M1 so I did not really test it) and exchanged Thrust for Tactics (this won me games I should have lost or made foes scoop when I returned a key card back to deck).

The reason for the changes is the proliferation of Snake Eyes on the ladder. Droll, I was dismayed to realize, do not stop them, as they adapted by using Wanted on the Draw Phase, but a well-timed Ash, Ghost Belle, or Crow sometimes does. I would heavily recommend GB to be crafted if you have the spare URs, I would replace 1 Crow with another GBelle if I could but I am aiming to craft Turbulence, Apollousa and Linkuriboh with them. Flamb Dragon not targeting what it will revive from GY is OP as **** hence why Crow is not as good if they have all the 3 level 1's in the GY.

There was no mathetical reason for the ratios of engine and non-engine, I just picked and removed as I felt needed while climbing and this list went unchanged from M3 to M1 except for the Kurikara inclusion. I rarely bricked with this deck, I always somehow got 2 engines and 3 htraps with this ratio, and Unicorn plus Nadir/Arianna and 3 HTs has a high chance of winning already.

The only essential ED cards I think are the usual Punishment targets, the Zoodiac package, and Zeus.
