Was trying some other decks in lower ranks so I played slightly less games with this deck this season.

Matchups I lost to the most: 3 games each to SHS and Stun, and it makes sense because these are matchups I’m willing to concede. They’re unique decks that require specific cards to beat, and in a BO1 setting there’s no need to overreact to losing to SHS and Stun going 2nd.

In terms of the list, I only made a few small changes compared to last season. I took out 1 Bystial in anticipation of seeing more Fire decks as the new pack has just came out, and added 2 Crows because I think it’s a good generic hand trap in every matchup (whereas Droll is completely feast or famine).

A couple tips:

• With so much diversity right now, it’s as important as ever to understand each deck that you’re facing and where to use your interruptions against them.
• Droll is super popular right now so play your Branded Opening in Draw Phase if you have another effect that searches. On the other hand, if you don’t have another effect that searches, play Opening in the main phase to bait out the Droll. The fact that Droll does nothing against this deck is a pretty big advantage that it has going right now, which is also why I hate playing decks that loses hard to Droll when it’s so popular.
• You will brick sometimes with this list (8 out of 50 games for me this season) because it’s not maxed out on consistency. However, you should also win about half of the games that you brick in, because when you brick, your hand should be full of powerful non-engine cards that should be able to buy you another turn. I’ve used this same list season after season without feeling the need to increase consistency for that reason.

Oh and Super Poly might be one of the strongest non-engine cards right now. Every time it resolves, it swings the game.
