M1 Millennium/Zoodiac/Fiendsmith — Season 56
With Ratpier going from 3 to 2, I wanted to update the decklist.
Zoo cards are amazing starters for this deck, as any one of them can reach the basic endboard of 5 disruptions + 2 additional interactions, depending on the hand. They provide a strong one-card combo without additional bricks.
The main issue with this version is how tight the Extra Deck is. You really want to include 4 additional cards: 2 Zoo cards (Boarbow and honorary Zoo Divine Zeus), FS Lacrima (Fusion), and a 2nd Doomed Dragon.
I'm really not sure what the optimal solution is there.
Cards you can consider swapping: Necroquip, M7, Tigermortar, Lacrima Fusion, Boarbow, Zeus, and Felgrand.
Every other card in the Extra Deck is needed, so you have to test and see what you value the most.
There have been games where I could have won if I had Boarbow/Zeus, or where I could have OTK with Fusion Lacrima or a 2nd Doomed Dragon. But when I cut Necroquip and M7, I couldn't make the full endboard, and when I cut Felgrand, I missed that extra interaction to win.
Basic endboard interactions with any Zoodiac starter:
- Exodia Spell Negate
- Exxod, Fires of Rage board wipe
- Desirae Field Negate
- Azurune Summon Negate
- Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand Monster Negate
Additional interactions depending on opening hand:
- Heart of Gaia Monster Negate
- Heart of the Blue-Eyes (send a Level 8+ monster to the GY)
Any Zoo card can access Sengenjin, giving the deck a direct bridge from Zoo into Millennium.
Millennium cannot bridge into Zoo, so you need to open Zoo cards to take advantage of the engine. I suggest playing as many Zoo cards as possible.
Zoo provides additional bodies for the combo and is resilient to handtraps, with multiple points where you can bait interactions.
If they use Fuwa or Maxx C against you, you can simply pivot to Exodia and hope for the best.
Bricks and Consistency
This variant reduces the brick rate to the minimum:
7 bricks (although it is still high ☹ sorry) (5 Exodia pieces, 1 Exxod Trap, and 1 Azurune Trap)
Has 27 starters (14 Millennium, 5 FS, and 8 Zoodiac).
Here are the opening rates:
- 95.65% — 1 starter
- 75.42% — 2 starters
- 70.09% — 2 handtraps
- 47.46% — 1 brick
- 9.92% — 2 bricks
The 3 FS variants are viable, with similar winrates and ratios. Each has its own advantages/disadvantages, so I can't say which one is objectively the best.

Replays
Overall, I had a lot of fun with this variant. I do wish R.T./Zoo didn't have so much synergy, as I wouldn't be surprised if they receive hits after WCS 2026.
Both Millennium and pure Zoodiac are, at best, rogue-level strategies. This is still my pet deck, and Exodia keeps making the game fun for me.
But this might be my last M1 push. I'll probably keep posting my M5 list next season, but I won't promise M1.
