I don't play the Fiendsmith version because I need space in my ED for Ultimate Slayer. It has won me so many games against Ryzeal lol, it's basically an out to both Detonator and Cross with a single card. Silvera is a great counter to both Maliss and Ryzeal when timed properly, and Lancea is a turn skip for Maliss (plus you can send it to resolve Astellar, so it's still kinda useful even against other decks)

Astellar + Toy Box is the best starter. It is the most reliable option as it can beat almost every hand traps (except Maxx C and the charmies of course). You can even summon baronne before your 5th summon, so nibiru is useless against this starter. The endboard includes Baronne, Apo, S:P, Illia Silvia, Diabell into Formula into Chaos Angel, and woes into Silvera.

Astellar/Silvy + any S/T is also good, although you may lack the materials to summon Apo, and it is more vulnerable to hand traps.

If you watch my replay, you'll see that earlier this season I used the White Forest Fusion Spell, but later I switched to the White Forest Synchro Trap. I find it more reliable, especially when my opponent resolves Maxx C. In that case, I can just Normal Summon Silvy, or use Astellar into Silvy, or Elzette into Silvy, then set Woes and pass (and pray, lol).

If you prefer the Fusion version, you can swap Woes for Sinful Spoils of the White Forest and replace Formula Synchron with Guardian Chimera. the rest of the deck is the same.
