Notes & Combos

Little late with hitting master 1 but we finally got there. I think tearlaments might be slightly worse this season compared to last with the inclusion of ryzeal but it's still a solid option for those that don't want to play ryzeal/maliss.

Decks I faced: Ryzeal/Maliss/Lab/Tenpai/Blue-Eyes

Deck-building: I initially tried performage, black goat, heavy storm, and called by but this is the list I settled on in the run from m5-m1. Compared to last season I removed destrudo, shaddoll and the shufflers, then added droplet, talents and kashtira engine.

Droplet is a must-have board breaker this season. Even if fuwallos resolves against ryzeal I think you still need it so I've includeed that. I swapped the shufflers for fuwallos after seeing someone do well with it in the tieba weekly. It's been great for going second. Lowkey purulia might be better here but fuwa offers versatility for different matchups. Destrudo and shaddoll just don't feel good this season so I've gone for the kashtira engine, with good results going second.

A bao: I love this card. It boosts the uninterrupted endboard even more, helps you extend from an imperm on kitkallos if you don't have easy fiendsmith access or grief, lets you play around the draw restriction if you use dugares and gives you a free pop against maliss or ryzeal.

vs Ryzeal: Part of the reason I didn't hit master 1 sooner was because I really struggled going first and second against this deck. Nevertheless I think I got a bit better playing against this deck and I'll give some tips:

Droplet helps

Expect talents so shotgun maxx c/fuwa in the draw phase and save your ash unless you feel it's absolutely necessary (Ashing the duo drive or ice ryzeal if they start with that). If you are playing first save your cryme/desirae for this.

You can play heavy storm but it didn't come up enough for me when I did play it to warrant keeping it.

Snow is very good this season because it forces the field spell negate.

Although slightly risky you can set some of your trap cards to bait a detonator activation to extend your plays.

Maybe I'll play maliss next season.
