Notes & Combos
Pure blind second Mankos post-JUSH DC banlist.
Very comfy climb now that DTail and Man are less prevalent. Returned to a more standard breaker list due to seeing a more diverse / less backrow-heavy ladder.
Tried playing with going-first handtraps + Twined Jewels Uzuhime on the way to M5, due to less Mululu and Wousu around to out Huli. Unfortunately, Jewels is fairly ineffective in the current ladder:
- VS, Mitsu hybrids, remaining Odions can ignore the ED
- DTail doesn't care if you pop the fusion
- Typhoon and Malice hybrids are commonplace
- Orcust and Heros can swarm the board / GY and then make an ED out to trade with it (Jewels doesn't work on 0 atk Galatea)
- It does hurt Yummy, but so does Huli pass
The going first climb was also smooth, but that was mostly because Mikanko doesn't mind losing coinflip even while on handtraps. Huli did more heavy lifting than Uzuhime going first most games, but at that point you may as well run some Primite FS variant with Huli in place of Desirae, or the Huli + floodgates build. Would not recommend as long as MST, Mad Love + Sue, and Faimena + Ketu all coexist though.
Nonengine Notes
- Ulti Slayer is back, as it works on the Orcust/Malice/Magnet decks that have replaced DTail/Odion/pure Mitsu. Additionally, Solfa Yummy becoming more prevalent versus pure means they often no longer have targeting protection from Elf, if they make the Solfa omni as well as Herald.
- Mankos should have enough nonengine and ED flex space to run an Izuna handtrap package if desired. This may be worth considering for the T0 handtrap pin / Typhon / C104 burn alone.

Just previous season JUSH matches. Not much to see from Huli vs Magnet Pachy turbo or breakers vs Hero floodgates.
