Notes & Combos
Climb was easier than last season due to the lack of Yummy on ladder. The deck fairs pretty well into the meta (saw mostly K9VS and KT).
End Board looks like: Ripper, Silvia, Therion, S:P, Gaze and Release set, Izuna in hand. This brings a disgusting 4 negates (3 omni), a pop and rank up in release, and a rank 5 (~7 points of interaction) with whatever you drew off of saryuja/wanted. Also, the board is highly resilient to super poly.
Differences from last season:
- sub out all of the board breakers (evenly, droplet). They didn't feel as impactful as a an actual disrupt on their turn (imperm). VS would always end on the trap card and KT wouldn't really care either.
- Added the Therion engine, which has random synergy with Infinitrack xyz and Noroi. Also provides fodder for summoning diabellstar at times.
- Cut most of the azamina cards in favor of more rank 5s. I find that the azamina ED didn't really do much to this meta and were more win-more cards, especially since Lunalight was pretty rare during my run. You could make an argument to cut Rcielago and Hallowed for extra ED space and Debtors, but I like the extra draw I would get from cycling with wanted.
Durendall didn't come up too much and can also prob be cut, tho it is VERY funny when you open droll and they maxx c you, but yeah you can prob add in a Zeus or something instead.
The deck does have quite a few cards that you would rather not see (lantern w/o noroi, therion w/o noroi, release, gaze, hallowed by itself).
