Notes & Combos

What this deck lacks in extenders and ways to play through disruption, it more than makes up for in recursion and ways to deal with trap and stun decks. You get to pop floodgates with Red Zone and Branded Beast, and use your infinitely recurring Fiendish Golem to deal with threats even when you cannot combo. Please don't give up as soon as someone flips TCBOO and Skill Drain.

When going second against combo decks, you have to hope your hand traps are enough to stop them. If you're too worried about going second, I recommend trying to fit in the third copy of thrust and 1 copy of evenly. I felt like didn't need it for this meta, though.

We are running 60 cards to dilute the bricks a little bit, but it also allows us to run the extended bystial package and a few more niche options like reign.

Reign usually wins you the game if it resolves. it is good to pull off of thrust, but it's also great discard fodder when you hard draw it, since it adds itself back. You could switch it for the third copy of imperm if you don't want to run it. You'll want to craft it for sure when we get Red Lotus King on MD, though.

I've also tried some other options like Chain Resonator and Mirror Resonator. Chain was terrible, the opportunity to use it almost never came up. Mirror was decent on some situations, but I felt like the second copy of Synkron had more value.

When it comes to the extra deck, Baronne rarely came up due to the locks in DARK Dragon Synchros, but when she did, she was powerful. I'm not running the second copy of scarred because it literally never came up. Red Nova could rarely come up, but I don't want to craft it. xD
