Notes & Combos

For people new to Lab, I'd recommend reading the guide pinned in #labrynth in the Master Duel Meta Discord. You can also ask helpers like me for help there.

With the arrival of Unchained Soul Lord of Yama comes a new Labrynth variant: Unchained Labrynth.

Aside from being a cool deck name, this allows us to use our Extra Deck more proactively to close out games or set up more interaction turn 1.

Basically, any two Fiends make Yama, which searches Sharvara. A third Fiend or a face-down card (such as from a Set by Lovely) allows Sharvara and Yama to make Rage (for Turn 1) or Anguish (for breaking boards). You also get Escape.

If you play this right, Rage, Escape, and maybe even Unicorn can provide 3 interactions with follow up or more interaction by way of Yama GY effect and Rage GY effect.

Arias being a 3 of here helps this goal out. Since Arias allows us to ensure material to use on board when we're doing our plays, Arias provides immense utility. I decided to try out 3 for this list, but depending on the list, 0, 1, or 3 is fine.

Rollback at 1, Lady at 1, Cooclock at 1, and Labrynth Labyrinth at 0 are all there to minimize bricking since these mostly do nothing on their own, but the 1 ofs make them still accessible if need be.

Finally, Gamma was huge this climb. Even if Driver is a huge brick, Gamma basically covers every matchup and it covers every matchup WELL. Getting rid of SE Bodies or bodies against R-ACE was amazing this climb and sometimes you even get to use it on your turn for more bodies.

Again, if you want help or more details, ask in the Labrynth channel on Discord!

Sorry for no stats this time, I didn't really like this format so I couldn't be bothered recording my matches. Common matchups were Snake Eye and Rescue ACE.
