Notes & Combos

Since I am already building toward Grass Lightsworn for ranked play and the archetype has a lot of playable cards if you need to dip into them, I figured running LS in singleton would make sense. The deck drastically outperformed my expectations despite essentially being a 40-card pile of "graveyard matters" cards. The goal is to go first, start with something like Lumina (light) or Raiden, mill into another Lightsworn that can be special summoned (with Wulf and Felis obviously being the main choices if you don't have reanimation available), and summon into boss monsters that can either further extend or set up a board that the opponent must answer if they don't want to lose on the following turn. Most counterplay is set turn 1, but I included some of the more generically useful handtraps in case of a lost coin flip or if the game goes long. The Shadoll cards provide added utility from the graveyard with Falco being a particularly useful source of extra bodies (or even a tuner to pair with Gragonith to make a dragon synchro), and with Dragon acting as a faster but less reliable Galaxy Cyclone. For the extra deck, there's Michael which is excellent going second, Chaos Ruler or Minerva to extend from 2 level 4's, Curious to Foolish Burial one of the aforementioned grave lovers, and Savage Dragon to get added value out of Curious once they've linked up into an Abomination or something. The Twilightsworn are admittedly awkward but very nice for making a mixed Levianeer.
