Notes & Combos

Very fun deck because it's basically a control deck that can search Super Poly. You do pass against Fuwa and Droll but that's usually not a disaster unless you open all engine. This is the first time in a while where I've felt that I'm playing a deck that's way stronger than the average opponent's in an event. I had 3 separate 5+ win streaks.

I was initially doing the line that ends on Starving Venom Wing Dragon, but what I noticed is that you never really get that far in your combo, and with some small tweaks, you can end on a board that's not necessarily any worse but gives you more deckbuilding flexibiity.

You would make Crystal Wing through Bal Teah as usual, and where the line differs is with the Instant Fusion component:

1. Instant Fusion for Ambulomelides and add Predaplanning
2. Banish Longinephila from GY to place a counter on Clear Wing
3. Revive Byblisp
4. Ambulomelides tribute Byblisp to SS Cobra and add Super Poly
5. Fusion Substitute: Ambulomelides + Cobra -> Dragostapelia
6. Fusion Substitute GY effect: place back Ambulomelides to draw 1

End Board: Crystal Wing + Dracostapelia + Predaplanning + Super Poly + 1 draw

You can see that this end board is by no means worse, and you've freed up 1 slot in your main deck and 2 slots in your ED because you no longer need the combo pieces in Predapruning, Super Duper Poly, Clear Wing and Starving Venom Wing. I still included Super Duper Poly because it's a good extender when you get interrupted, but it's no longer a combo piece and you can easily replace it with any card that you want (you can go up to 19 hand traps!). Another small benefit to having Prdedaplanning is that you can send it off Predaprimitive on turns where you've already resolved Byblisp.

This archetype has a pretty ****** grind game because you go through your resources very quickly and there are bizarrely no cards in-engine that recyles. So if you get into a grind game, make good use of Shining Flare Wingman. I would even consider running a 2nd copy.
