Notes & Combos

Somehow I made it again.

On my rank up game I think the guy I was playing disconnected out of shame after accidentaly wiping his own board. Climb from like 7-19 was easy (only 1 derank). But it took forever to get to MAX.

About the deck, I finally went full darkside and played the FTK, which I found out about from (the Kat). Compared to the other Trickstar Yummy versions, this one doesn't even pretend to let your opponent play Yu-gi-oh. This one is also the least clunky, no need for two card combos, and you can try to bait out interruptions easier before revealing yummy cards easier.

Deck choices:

• Eva/Green light/Nightshade: I removed Eva cause going first it didn't matter anymore, and going second it needs to be like a 3 card combo to be worth it. Green light didn't seem good this season. Nightshade is another normal one card combo that was mainly there to be searched off Eva.
• Yummy Acroquey: More of a going first card, so it's not really necessary especially since it's another brick.
• Link Spider: I got rid of the 2nd snatchy for spider cause you just need to make sure your combo happens. It's worse into grind, but if your opponent is willing to play grind game against you, you're losing.
• Almiraj: It's useful. Helps you beat imperm if you only have one yummy name and a handtrap in hand.
• Herald: It might sound blasphemous, but you might be able to cut herald in this deck cause it's more an endboard piece, and since you ftk you don't need an enboard. Maybe swap it with gorgon or the 2nd snatchy

Cool Techs

• Surprise can be used to recyle non-yummy field spells, to either get the yummy field spell in the grave or get another trickstar into your hand.
• It took me too long to read(insert reading joke) Mannequin Cat and Linewalker and realize I could discard the Earthbound immortal cards.
• Battlephase is a really good board breaking tool with Candida grabbing Corobane. As long as you can yummy combo after baiting out their board interactions you can still do the FTK in main phase two.
