Notes & Combos

If Snake-Eye can put Kashtira Unicorn in their deck, then Evil Eye can do the same.

While having pots and more handtraps both have their merits, I figured I'd try a small Kashtira engine and see what it can do for this deck. Like our much less cooler Eye-cousins, our Normal Summon is super weak to handtraps. Unicorn eats all of them for breakfast and clears the way so that Serziel can safely (and elegantly) manifest himself onto the field and get the ball rolling.

But what if our opponent is smart and holds their handtraps expecting something like a Snake-Eye Ash and do end up hitting Serziel? In that case it's Unicorn + Birth Control + whatever handtraps or gas we're left with after they sneeze at our Normal Summon. Worst case scenario we link off into I:P and revive Unicorn with Birth so we have more disruption during our opponent's turn. And if we couldn't get Serziel at all, if nothing else, we can make Baronne with Ash Blossom or Omega with Veiler, then revive Unicorn with Birth, and try to apply some pressure with that as well.

Since this list runs so many spells that can be activated while controlling no monsters, Gamma is an absolute chad and will punish players for Ashing Wraitsoth, Pareidolia, Gorgoneio's GY effect, or (lol) Unleashed.

The obvious downside of this build is that it's prone to bricking slightly even more than pure (opening hands of Driver + Birth + Gorgoneio aren't real, they cannot hurt you), but you know what they say, you put more bricks into your already somewhat bricky deck and it ends up being more consistent. Having access to Unicorn + Omega on top of your Evil Eye stuff can put immediate pressure on your opponent's resources, so the pros outweigh the cons here imo.
