Notes & Combos

AKA: GET IT TWISTED, YOU WILL WIN.

The purpose of this deck is threefold- it's to use the dangers to go into powerful link and rank 8 combos, use gren maju and the dangers to access the small 3 engine, or banish everything and beat the opponent with Big Number. You're very typically going to be OTKing, and if you aren't, the ideal endboard is a 4-6 mat Zeus, a Dingirsu or BLS link that was linked with a level 7+, or Eater of Millions.

One might find the complete lack of handtraps a mistake, but I honestly found going full-throttle far more effective, the hand traps end up clogging the hand a bit and mean it's one less card that contributes to the combo, so I found it better to just go all-in on board breakers and going second cards, and focus on taking apart established boards and working from there.

Keep in mind that the deck is luck based, and is imo pretty difficult because there aren't real combo lines, it depends on what you have in your hand, but I find that fun. Some notes-

  • TTT is lit. It essentially won the game for me more times than I can count, and Change of Heart is also incredibly powerful, and makes OTKing infinitely easier.
  • Zombie Vampire was an incredibly useful extender that can shift the math from being a couple hundred or even thousand away from lethal to an OTK. Aside from Dingirsu (and Zeus), it was easily the most valuable card in my extra deck.
  • The BLS link is in my opinion underrated in a deck like Dangers, that can get level 7 or 8s on the board easily. A non-targeting banish is still quite good, and there are decks that don't have an easy out. EoM is also great, and it's funny when people charge in, having not read the card.
  • I found some kind of use for most extra. The only exceptions are Seven Sins, Cerberus and Unicorn. I would probably keep Unicorn in any build, it is a very good card, but the other 2 can be shifted to other links or xyzs.
  • I honestly found the deck perfomed well against rogue. The one I found it struggled most against was Exosister, partially getting awful draws in clutch situations.
  • The deck was strong against most of the meta. Sprights can be tricky, but try to overwhelm them. My favorite thing is baiting out Masq and then use CoH or TTT.
  • Punk's boads without Punisher are pretty fragile. Ishizu mill I only played a couple times, but they decked themselves ou. A couple times it was somewhat close though. Be careful of using Gizmek or Pot of Desires when things start getting tight.

I tried to focus on including meta decks, but there are a couple others that I thought showed some potential strengths of the deck that I included. And I am honestly somewhat proud of the Sky Striker game. And yes, sometimes I absolutely missed lines or screwed up, I will be the first to say I'm not super great at this game.
