Notes & Combos
The more I play this deck, the more I love my Crystrons!
Dodging hand traps with Tristaros is always very satisfying.
Despite the loss of consistency, I really like the pure version.
Deckbuilding choices:
-
Prasiortle is a card I really like, even though it’s missing from many Crystron lists. It lets you tank even more hand traps and provides additional follow-up (and it’s more forgiving if you make combo mistakes…).
-
I really don’t like the Mulcharmies, because they’re completely useless when going first.
-
I tested Retaliating “C”, but I’m not really convinced; I’d rather replace it with other hand traps that are more impactful overall.
Extra Deck:
-
2 Dragster feel mandatory in the current meta.
-
Quandax is there for situations where my only Crystrons are Crystron Inclusion + Prasiortle and Inclusion gets Ash’d. Prasiortle effect → destroy Inclusion → Special Summon Tristaros → Synchro Summon Quandax → Tristaros effect in the GY → destroy Quandax → Tristaros summons 2 Crystron monsters (including Sulfador), and the combo can continue.
-
Same idea for Ametrix, but with Thystvern instead of Prasiortle.
