Branded lacks high quality starters, so I wanted to try some sub engines that could enable branded. Mitsu and Bri(lliant) Fu(sion) are both very strong starters for branded in theory, providing either extra interuption or directly bridging into branded and bodies for verte, in theory. Going first, these cards were ususlly amazing playing through low impact handtraps, but would sometimes cause losses to droll and made the deck worse into draw handtraps. Both were also very good going second, although the deck would lose to decks that produced very high ceiling endboards, particularly negate heavy boards. I would consider cutting brilliant fusion though, as it created awkward hands that overly feared removal on brilliant fusion going second, as well as a confliction with droplet. Dracotail is a very difficult matchup as they draw into handtraps, have a floodgate and a spell negate.
