I've been playing Nouvelles nonstop ever since the new support drop. Chef is really an incredible card that creates unexpected comeback against otherwise losing situations. being able to search almost whatever you need, as well as jumping out and ritual summon in opponent's turn as well as messing with opponent's monster level is just so good compare to before.

This event I decide to go for the link route as oppose to fusion route, mainly because how I am very used to having Dyna Mondo at my disposal. Since there are so much room in the extra deck space, I decide to add in Fiendsmith, Unchained, and some Pend support to fill in the extra deck space. Going first, after your typical ritual summon. I tried to go into fiendsmith line as much as possible from a single chef. Altho chef doesn't go into GY, it is enough to make Lacrima and Engraver on board which can go into unchained combo by breaking usually meat recipe from hand. The hidden benefit of unchained line is that we could get back engraver when using escape to destroy unchain soul of rage, for potential FS Tract for either chef or santa claws next round.

I rarely uses the pend support, but a few times beyond the pendulum did help break some backrow which helps you link climb or makes underworld goddness by itself. It also fetch you another Chef to stick it on pend scale for additional search. If you are able to do these lines turn 3, I felt you are in a winning position regardless what you do.

Anima is really the unsung hero of the deck. Many times anima helps turn the tide. It also provides a target trigger for your 3 and 4s. Almiraj helps with turning normal fuwalos into potential little knight banish. Those are some dire situation but they do come up from time to time.

Overall, I had a blast playing this event. The only really bad match up I felt like is against branded. The fact Mirrorjade doesn't target as well as clear the whole board when leave the field is very hard to combat. let alone a single albaz can bait your negate most of the time. as well as bystial disrupting your follow up. Not fun
