Notes & Combos
Hiya!
Won't write too much as I usually do, but I got a very neat 8-winstreak followed by a 9-winstreak with Sky Striker for the Duel Triangle, which for some reason did not get hit at all... Anyways, here's a short overview on unique decklist choices:
- Pot of Desires: In place of the expanded RT engine, I wanted to experiment with Desires again despite previous bad luck with it! Happy to say it wasn't too atrocious, but banishing 2/3 Engage and other things is very annoying. Can't go wrong with a Draw 2, of course...! Unless you lose all the follow-up along the way.
- Cyanos: While I initially didn't consider Cyanos, experimenting with her here made me a lot more appreciative! She serves as a starter, extender, way to dump a spell, and follow-up/security as it can revive Roze from GY AND Banishment. Additionally, some combos allow you to summon Zeke to banish itself, which returns in the opponent's endphase as additional follow-up and material.
- TTT: With Kewl Tune running Monster hand-traps, this makes the TTT cards a lot more usable. Our Thrust target of going 1st is Different Dimension Grounds, which shuts down Kewl Tune's effects when used as Synchro Material, Orcust, Lunalight, Memento, etc.
- Revisions: I would try to add a Clockwork Knight in there in case Cyanos is interrupted without further Monster access (I never lost a game off of that, but it is best to be cautious). Additionally, Shark Cannon was not particularly used , so that can be cut out for another Spell.
Overall, a very successful run! As much as I hate to say it, Striker feels like it should get a hit in these future events since it is so powerful and flexible! The strong balance of going 1st and 2nd is potent, and its matchup against Kewl Tune despite their manipulation of information is well.
Again, shoutouts to Floowooly and the Dungeon~!
