Notes & Combos

I wish I had something spicier, but Tear 0 means we need the most consistency we can muster. This is a combination of some of the Japanese lists that are getting diamond 1.

Key inclusions: Macro versus soul drain/fissure. The tear backrow is dangerous, but macro shuts that down. Some decks can play under fissuren and drain, but it's really tough to play under macro. This card wins games. (Does nothing against the **** birds though...)

Triple Shade. I've gone back and forth over this, but after consulting with our helper Kito, I decided to bump it back up to 3x. Redoer wins games. Period.

Lord. This card isn't really included for the search or the protection, though those are nice. It mostly comes in handy for the giant atk and def. You'll see it in one of my replays why that 3K stat is so formiddable.

Rebellion/Overlord package. A lot of the Japanese lists have been running it, and I've hesitated for months to craft them. But I've won a bunch of games going into Dark rebellion dragon and then into Overlord. One tear player decided to sulliek my overlord. Which did nothing. Then I just beat over their Kit and went into 4 mat Zeus.

Replays

Not so many replays this season. 977-255-375

  1. Epic comeback going second against Nat Vern. I don't think they're that scary. (nat runick though...)
  2. The power of macro versus Tear in a somewhat bricky hand. Going first. I opened two macro, which is not what you want to see, but I was still able to clinch the win.
  3. Okay game going first against swordsoul with macro.
  4. Nat Vern going second. Once again, they weren't that tough.
