Notes & Combos
Played Spright☆Twin for my last diamond push before the end is here. This deck can definitely get to D1, and I was pretty close last season (peaked at D2), but after a particularly bad loss streak down to D5, I lost the motivation to grind and will just stop raising my blood pressure to climb ranked altogether.
Some thoughts about the deck:
- I run a particularly larger than normal Twin engine because I mainly play the deck for the Twins. I run 2 Passwords and 2 Snitches instead of 1:3 because Password can also search for Home, which is an extender and allows you to still access your Twin engine if your little Twin gets popped by Gamma. Home also let me push for lethal once after the little Twin got negated.
- I run 2 TTT and 2 Droplet after hearing a tip with which I agreed: it feels bad having more than 1 of each in your hand. TTT was almost always used to spin a card from my opponent's hand which pretty much resulted in a win when it got to resolve. On one occasion, I used it to steal Zeus to make my own Zeus.
- I dropped one Imperm to make room for Belle because it also felt bad to have multiple Imperms going 2nd. Belle ended up doing a lot of work. She increases the likelihood that Maxx C resolves by denying Crossout and Called By, and she also deals with Ishizu spinners, Branded in Red, and Superfactorial.
- I started running Gamma Burst after realizing how many games I could have just pushed for game instead of building out a board and letting my opponent take another turn.
- For the Extra Deck, I run Onibimaru over IP because I almost never get to summon her due to Fiend-lock from the Twin cards.
