Far from optimized, far from boring, far better than I expected this format.

Combo-wise I just went with my instinct/experience depending on what I have in my hand. Alpha+Zeta can at least make Apollousa for 4, Baronne and Phul. You will also likely be able to have some Megalith setup on top of Phul in hand as well, e.g., Unformed with a lv 4 to dodge Dark Ruler No More or Aratron/Unformed and Phaleg to give Apollousa too much ATK.

You could also throw in a Dweller there, but I honestly barely went into it. Bagooska would probably be better as that rank 4 flex spot.

I certainly did not expect Megalith Unformed to be actually solid right now. Sometimes it can really take apart boards, bait well for your Drytrons or dodge their negates.

***** ideal decks and cards, playing Phaleg is ideal at all times.

A few random notes on the deck/format:

• Bethor is really nice into Runick decks. If they have a Hugin on the field already at any point, Bethor clears their board. Hugin protects OTHER cards from being destroyec, so if you target Hugin as well, she cannot protect their Fountain and co.
• Phaleg provides your Apollousa more ATK points and thus more negates.
• I started memeing around with this list with the goal of making rank 4s/level 8 Synchros initially. I went away from that at the end, obviously, but I still wanted to cope on running Omega...I barely made it. Lv 8 is just a bit too awkward with Diviner, so unless you run Batosbuster, you will not make lv 8 Synchros here too often. It makes more sense to play a lv 7 Synchro if you want to run Synchros, as those are made much more easily. Black Rose Dragon anyone? Or...MICHAEL?!
• I wanted to test not having Borrelsword as an OTK tool and I barely missed it. I honestly think that you could also not run Accesscode and get away with it. So if you want to run certain toolbox stuff, you could.
• Nightingale is garbage, I still tested it because I wanted to, but Fucho is better. Everyone and their dog outs/stops Nightingale: Smashers, Returnia, Widow Anchor and much, much more...
• cards like Golem and Ruler were really helpful due to their level, too. I regularly used them with Unformed/Aratron. This is also why I seriously considered adding Cyber Angel Dakini/Izana. Adding a lv 8 with Benten could be very good.
