Notes & Combos

This deck can be painful, but also good fun and not too hard to play well! It's definitely not something that can consistently win against every meta deck, but it can hold its own most of the time. Sometimes you'll be ruined by a single Ash, and having to rely on Princess to get Buzzsaw out sucks; Abyss/Crystal Shark should improve this deck a ton. I found Eldlich (and Skill Drain in general) a particularly tough matchup. Without Droplet, this build can also have a tough time going 2nd against boards that don't have easy Super Poly material, but having an easy out to DPE if your opponent leaves Verte on the field is great.

Miscellaneous notes:

  • Running Super Poly and three Gozen, this deck depends heavily on Stealth Kragen; if you have a second copy, I'd definitely make room for it

  • Crooked Cook is a necessary evil for bricky hands that don't include any of the backrow that would support an endboard of just Stealth Kragen

  • Torrential/Fury of Kairyu-Shin is handy sometimes, but I mostly liked having the latter as Ash bait to cover One for One or Beautunaful Princess

  • Leaffish is a bit of a flex slot; the draw effect is useful, but it can also be a starter if you open it alongside White Mirror. I experimented with Instant Fusion in its place along with Rare Fish, but Extra Deck space is tight.
