Notes & Combos

List is a mess and I'm not proud of it. Tl;dr is that half of the games in my final play session were Runick variants, and I realized it wasn't a coincidence and they were just experiencing the last week of the engine before it gets hit, so halfway through I scrambled to tune my list to it. Had I not won my 5th game when I did, I'd have taken out Nibiru. In any other meta where Runick is not literally 50% of your games, Cosmic is a terrible card. That being said, I was literally ending on Chengying, setting Cyclone, and feeling good.

Regarding the non-Runick Spright matchup, idk what to say. I played 15 games against it in Diamond and won 11 of them. You're both midrange decks but your cards are just bigger and more impactful, even if they (Spright) are slightly more efficient and more interactive. Chengying and Protos beat GigaSpright and they beat it hard. Tenyi shenanigans overload their monster negates. It's just very easy to overpower them, going first or second. Does that mean SwoSo is better than Spright? No, but I am confident that the matchup is good for SwoSo.

Only thing I've changed my mind on from the last list I posted was Heavenly Dragon Circle. Initially I thought it would be good because Imperm is indeed good. However, I've found that my Dragon Circles get ash'd and make my hands awkward a lot more than my Mo Ye's get imperm'd. Anecdotal for sure, take it with a grain of salt. That being said, Imperm is very good while GigaSprights are across the table. If the meta goes back to being non-Runick Spright decks after the banlist, then the only changes I'd make would be -2 Cyclone, +1 Imperm, +1 Vishuda.
