Notes & Combos
Intro:
- This deck has many layers of play as both engines synergize very well. Going first is usually a lot more standard than going second.
Gameplay:
-
If going first, I usually check for Maxx "C". If they have it you can play around by chaining another quick-play spell, then TTT to look your opponent's hand and/or Ipiria normal summon, jet to grab smashers is also fine. Priority is usually resolving fountain, because if you fountain draw 2-3 the game is basically over, after that you can just overwhelm the opponent with card advantage.
-
If going second, you wanna count how many interactions your opponent has and check what cards you need to pass for your combo. I usually try to force carrot/smashers so my fountain resolves while trying to stop them from resolving theirs, because that's what gives you the most recovery in the mirror.
-
Always keep in mind that Runick spells skip your next battle phase, and you actually have to attempt to go into battle phase in order for it to be skipped.
Deckbuilding:
-
TTT is a very flexible card and adds more gas to your plays, which is why I prefer over Lava Golem even though Lava Golem is also strong.
-
I personally don't like Ash this format because you can actually play around Maxx "C" and it's low impact going second, I'd rather have another interaction to break their board most of the time. That said, you still need at least some answers to Maxx "C".
-
Goddess is the flex spot, you can replace her with any decent rank/link 2.
